LineMetrics Cloud: Manage Buildings Easily

In the LineMetrics cloud, the building data collected is documented, analysed and managed. As a business tool for multi-property owners and operators, the platform has a wide range of features that simplify the management of building data. We asked our customers and present the 6 most important functions of the cloud for everyday business.

The LineMetrics Cloud is where all the information collected by sensors comes together. All locations and use cases can be managed in detail. The structure of the cloud corresponds to a clear building model. From location, to building, floor and space, the elements are built up from the largest to the smallest. A variety of functions support the user in administration, such as the possibility to create individual graphs and tables, save documents or set alerts. In this way, the LineMetrics platform becomes an important business tool for operators and owners of real estate.

Manage permission for cloud access

To ensure that the data can be used where it is needed, LineMetrics users can manage permissions for cloud access. For example, local employees only see data from their own branch and central employees can access all data.

Calculate your own key figures

In the cloud, you can arrange curves and metrics as you wish. By clicking on “New Dashboard” an overview will be created. Tables and graphs are added and ordered by dragging and dropping. In addition, it is possible to calculate individual key figures directly in the cloud, such as energy consumption per square meter. This makes it easy to compare locations in terms of performance.

Direct access to premises

You or the responsible service provider can simply access each asset via QR code. Scan the QR stickers on the assets with your smartphone and you’ll see the current values. To further simplify internal processes, it is also possible to save documents such as instructions or checklists and assign them to specific assets.

Perpetual data storage

The building data is stored in the cloud indefinitely. You don’t need to hire anything and you don’t have to worry about anything. If you need the data, you can easily access specific time periods at adjustable measurement intervals. The data can also be exported as Excel at any time to meet legal requirements or internal verifications, e.g.

Security of data

To ensure the security of your data, the transmission from the sensors to the gateways to the cloud platform is end-to-end encrypted. Online access via Internet browser is also encrypted with 256-bit, which corresponds to the level of e-banking. To ensure the security of the data, it is stored in multi-redundant LineMetrics servers in a European high-security data center (T-Systems). Of course, no data is processed or stored outside the EU. Ongoing security updates of the firmware and cloud ensure security at the highest level.

Integrate cloud data with existing systems

By means of an interface (API), data can be integrated from any device and existing systems. It is also possible to integrate the cloud into your own enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, ticketing system or workflow tools, databases and similar systems. The integration of charts into websites is also very easy. To simplify the integration, libraries are provided in various programming languages, such as C, C#, Java, JS, Python, Arduino, Matlab, and reference implementations (web, apps). Data adapters (Modbus TCP, BACnetIP, OPC DA, OPC UA) help with the integration of existing digital measured values.
